Twofer, Again

So I just fell asleep last night and didn't blog. Sorry about that. Yesterday consisted of me getting woken up by Deidre because I slept through my alarm and all. Awesome start. She did me a favor by taking me to get my car. Chris' sister answered the door and apparently until she opened my door, I was the only one in the apartment not awake. Very stupid of me, but I guess I just suck. I got my car alright and drove to Jeffrey's. We had a tribe day and that was all somewhat hip. I came back to Reno and showered, then took Chris and his sister to Carson City, specifically the Brewery Arts Center. We watched Urinetown, that was quite hip. Especially seeing some of the people there that I hadn't in a while. Today, I woke up rather later and again got a ride from Deidre. This time to Jeffrey's for practice. We did work there for a while. Then we came back to Reno and got Chinese food. That was hip. Oh yeah, before fooding she showed me where she's living now. Jenna's a roommate, so this will likely be the only time I ever see her place, so yeah. Then after fooding she took me back and I chilled with the roomies. Played some Smashies. Then watched some random TV and after midnight Chris and I bought groceries. I got the supplies needed to make a homemade tomato sauce, the likes of which can be found here. Anyway, ate some food and watched Moral Orel with Chris. He went to bed and I watched an episode of Good Eats. Now I've just browsed the internet some. Now I'll be going to sleep until I wake up tomorrow. No plans tomorrow, so plenty of sleep with no alarm. Awesome.

New Roommate

So my day started with church with Nicole. That was not a bad way to end the year. I'm taking a month off from that church-ness on Sundays, at least. I'll likely be involved with some random stuff, but nothing so regular. Then we ate some Panda Express and came back to the apartment and discovered that Chris had arrived. New roommate! Definitely excited for that, although I will miss not having Lyn in that room. I'll adjust, not bad, just different, yaknow? Then after we finished moving his stuff in we hung out. Eventually played a game of Munchkin. His mom got there eventually and we moved the rest of his stuff in. We four all went out to Thai food thereafter. Rather tasty, yesh indeed. Came home and chilled some more. Discovered the physics I thought I had to do online for Monday is due Thursday. So not doing that tonight. I'll still type up a lab report tomorrow and do about 5 more steps in the syllabus, but not tonight! Now I'm going to sleep. I just finished eating a late night snack and watching some South Park. Definitely time for sleep now. Oh yeah, also watched some other stuff, mostly random, although one I'll probably revisit would be Invader Zim. Watched the first episode tonight, advantage of having downloaded the series.

Twofer 21er

I tried to update from my computer yesterday and the internet was being pissy. I tried to update from my phone, but my phone was being pissy. So you get a twofer tonight. Yesterday I had class and such. It was good. I decided not to go out and dance socially, but still was called upon to go help with some editing stuffage. I had to slow down a song a little bit for the showcase this Saturday. I also had to extend a song that had an original length of 1:38 to about 4:05. I think that's a new record for me. Anyway, I came home and eventually went to sleep. Lots of South Park, I'm pretty sure.

Woke up just in time to make it to class, albeit a little late. Then I came home after class and ate food. I also changed into formal attire. More on why later. I had my lesson with Jeffrey and it was actually really good. We worked exclusively on the Hustle basic, but had a fantastic discussion on technique. Then I picked up Nicole and we had church choir rehearsal. Not too bad. Then I dropped her off and I went by the Polo Lounge. A friend of mine was singing. He did quite well, actually. I left and stopped by home to take care of a few things before heading downtown. Tonight was Natalee's 21st birthday. I joined some very hip dance folks and we had a ton of fun. I met some hip people while dancing at 210 North too. Exchanged some phone numbers. Awesome. Then I got China Diner and came home. Now I'm going to go to sleep. Awesome. Again.

Finals Part 1

I'm actually much more sleepy than I thought I would be by now. Not as much detail in the update, then. I had my Latin final at 8:30 or so this morning. That went better than expected, but not as well as was possible. Pretty much like my entire Latin career. Then I had my organ jury. I ate food before going to Lombardi and working on the choreography final. I'm actually really excited for that now that Yoshi and Liz will be doing my choreography. With such good dancers, they'll make my choreography look better than it is. I had my lesson with Jeffrey which was a lot of fun. I learned a lot and I hope she learned some too. I try to ask good questions, after all. Then I had church choir rehearsal. That was very interesting in some monetary ways. If you want to know more, ask me in some less public medium and I'll clue you in. Then I went to a Hookah bar to help Brielle and Megan with theory homework. Hopefully they'll both do well tomorrow. If so, I'd be quite proud. I bought China Diner and came home and ate that while taking a bubble bath. Mmmm, bubbles. Anyway, sleep. Post Mortem at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Night!

Last Choir Concert

I didn't have Dance Production this morning, so my first class was Latin. Only one more class of that and the final left now. I helped move choir risers and got Panda Express for lunch. Then I had choir rehearsal. That went better, at least. Then we had choreography, but very abbreviated, it was just a work day. Then I went home and chilled until 6. Then I went to the CSU to turn pages for Pat and I got roped into turning for Erik as well. In the actual concert I turned for Concert Choir and Symphonic and then sang in Chamber. It's going to be really weird not to be in choir at UNR anymore during the semester. The first time in 4 years next fall. Weird. Then I came home and change out of the tux and went to Deidre's to hang out with her and her pets for a while. I gave her a back rub and she got pretty drowsy, so she went to sleep. I'm going to sleep now, some more fun tomorrow night, but we'll get to that when we get to that.

Jazz Festival

Alright, so I'm skipping over a lot of details in the interest of sleep. I woke up early and dropped my car off at Saturn of Reno. I had to take it in and it turns out my Water Pump was cracked. Some 580 dollars later it is now fixed and will hopefully stay fixed for quite some time. Deidre picked me up there and took me to UNR. I worked in the Vocal Jazz room for pretty much the whole day. That's a lot of fun, and again more details to follow. Deidre and I ate lunch at the CSU from Panda Express. It was a wonderful little break in a long, but enjoyable day. Anyway, at around 5 PM Deidre picked me up again and took me to the dealership. I paid the bill and drove to Starlite. It turns out that my lesson that I thought was going to be at 6 got pushed to 7. I went to my car and talked with the parentals on the phone for an hour and a half to kill time. Then I had my lesson with Jeffrey. I came home and made food. Deidre came over, Dave was already there and Lyn joined before too much longer. We watched "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World." Lovely movie, that one. Anyway, sleep now. I'm back at UNR by around 7 tomorrow. Probably gonna be a little bit late to that, because that's earlier than I need to be, frankly. I'm going to the same place, there won't be much to do before 8, and I already know quite well what I'll be doing. Anyway, sleep. Night!

It was a day

So I didn't actually go to Sartre this morning. I had to do some publicity stuff for Dance Production. I should've done as much last week on Thursday, but for a whole variety of reasons did not. So I took care of it and made it to ballet just barely in time to not be late. Apparently the teacher was running behind too. Then I got some food from Panda Express with Yoshi. That was awesome. Then I went to the library to check out the Martha Graham video I needed, except I found that it was actually available as a DVD, so I got that instead. I also discovered a message on Myspace from Jenna, more on that later. 19th Cent. Phil. was not terribly exciting, honestly. Not a bad class, but nothing to write home about either. My organ lesson was in a lot of ways terrible. In a lot of ways decent. I played a piece or two worse than I had ever played in my life, not even exaggerating or being excessively tough on myself. I just couldn't stand to focus and that doesn't help it. Immediately following my lesson I went and talked with Jenna for a while. It actually did help me, in a lot of ways. I don't know how much it helped her, but hopefully she got something out of it. I really do wish her all the good in the world and hope that she sincerely finds happiness and freedom from any of her problems in life. Don't know if she believes me, but I know what I believe, so it's alright with me either way. I hung out with the roommates for a while. Then I eventually started working on my textual analysis paper for Choreography. All done with that and I've eaten food. I'm supposed to perform a Study tomorrow for Choreography too, but I haven't really had the time, nor focus to work on it. I'm going to ask Cari tomorrow if I can't do it on Thursday. If not, I'll work on it instead of going to Latin and also before I go to choreography after Choir. Something will work out, and I'll definitely figure out something to show in class, if I have to. It'd just be easier not to have to. I'll let you know how that one goes, tomorrow night.

Fraternal

So here was my day, dig? Sartre started it off. Then I drove around some and eventually bought a few car care items, but no coolant as of yet. I'm still hoping that it will generally not cause me too much trouble, but we'll see. Then I went over to Jenna's. I picked up her and a friend of hers, Beka, and we went to lunch. We went to Yen-Ching's so that I could eat Chinese and they could eat Sushi. That went pretty well. Apparently Beka approves of me, so that's good at least. I went to 19th Cent. Phil and that was not too terrible. No Free Improv today, though. Exec Board didn't really meet, either. The chapter meeting was kinda chaotic, honestly. Then we had Gold Night, and that was interesting as well. After that all finished up I went upstairs and spent at least an hour talking with some probationary members. I kinda lost track of the time, honestly. At any rate, I'm consumed food and will now be going to sleep. Hope y'all's night went well.

Wednesday

I got up in time with some help from Jenna and made it to Sartre right as class started. I've got the paper assignment for it, and should probably start working on that soon. I ate food at home then went over to Jenna's and we hung out for like an hour. Then I went to 19th Cent. Phil and turned in my late VSA. Better than nothing. Then Free Improv was kidna fun. I played piano for a couple of numbers and danced for one while Dr. Winn played. Kevin couldn't attend today because of scheduling stuff. The meeting was interesting, but everything worked out fine. After I hung out with some probationary members. I also figured out a way to make my life less stressful, so that was good. I also practiced organ for a little under an hour after I finished talking with the fellows. I picked up food from China Diner and will now do my dance homework before going to bed.

Dance Stuff

I've definitely spent the last about an hour and a half working on dance stuff for Jeffrey. Just formatting at this point, not even proofreading or anything. I've been working on it while watching Good Will Hunting idly in the background. I woke up kinda late after staying up so late last night. I showered and then Jenna picked me up. She took me to Palais de Jade and bought me Chinese Food. Then we went to see a movie. She again bought me a ticket to go see Coraline in 3-D. That was actually quite a good movie, and I wouldn't have gone to see it if she hadn't wanted to. It's actually quite hip having someone take care of me and suggest things and such. It's freaking me out a little bit, but I'm trying hard to. It's a new experience for me, actually. I've just been sitting at home since then. Saw Dave briefly, and he went to bed. I'm now going to go to sleep. I think it'd be better to sleep now and play video games tomorrow instead of doing it before I fall asleep.

I'm just not that creative right now. Apparently. So I went to Sartre and Ballet after that. Ballet actually was quite a bit of fun. Yoshi and I went and got food after that, so that was tasty. Then I went to EJCH for 19th Cent. Philosophy. I've got a test on Wednesday in that one, so I should probably study tomorrow. I mailed off rent and power and that's always a good thing. I had my organ lesson, which went alright. I came home and ate food, then went to the library for the Film Music movie, All That Heaven Allows. Not too bad, but not too good, either. I went to Lombardi and worked on my choreography study that's due to be reworked by tomorrow. I had no flow, so I retaped the Marley floor. I went and got Chinese food after that from China Diner. Now that I've wasted time looking for how to record video using the built-in webcam. So far, little success, but I assume it can be done.

Lazy, Whoops

So I slept in past when I had set my alarm. I guess I needed the sleep. I went over to Megan's for her birthday party. That was pretty hip. I showed up while they were playing extreme spoons and I watched the rather amusing display that yielded. Then we had a scavenger hunt in Scheel's. That was interesting as well. I discovered that I know someone who works there, kinda random. After we looked at the pictures. I bought Chinese from China Diner and headed home and ate it. I tried to work on stuff, but I let myself get distracted by the internet. Damn the electronic interface! Oh well, I'll do work tomorrow. I'll also go practice probably in the afternoon. For now, though, I really should go to sleep so I'll be able to be responsible tomorrow. Work on the book and philosophy beside going to practice.

50000

My car hit 50,000 miles today. I snapped a picture, obviously, and am currently displaying it. Pretty hip thing, it's a good car. I pretty much live out of it too. Anyway, I had Sartre this morning. Then I went to the CFA and gave Anna the book she wanted for CH. I hung out until choir started and said hi to the concert peeps I'll be working with for 20 minutes or so on Monday. Exciting, I know. I went home and called Computers of Reno about my laptop. The work would cost me, all things factored in, about $500 or so. Not really worth it, honestly. It's a good laptop, but a new one would be nice too. At any rate I picked up China Diner for some food and ate it hastily. While eating I received a phone call from Liz asking me if I could talk to the brothers about possibly helping out with the Bassoon Concert. Perhaps doing some of Thriller or the Chicken Dance or something, I'm not really sure. At any rate I'll look into it for her. Then I went to Lombardi and met Elizabeth there, she's the one from the dance minor, and gave her $20. I bought a ticket and 6 raffle tickets to support her and eNvision. The showcase performance will be tomorrow at 5. Incidentally, that's where I got the motivation to go grocery shopping a little while ago. At any rate, I was at Social Dance from 3-9, causing trouble and educating the kiddies. And I saw Liz there as well. I may have to start using last initials if they keep coordinating like this. Wait! Both of their last names start with a "C". Shit, I'm screwed. And sleepy. I'll be back in about 11 hours.

Full

I am quite full right now. As usual, that's a teaser and more on that later. Woke up extremely late this morning. 2:30 in the afternoon. That's what I get for not using an alarm, just winging it until the sun and such woke me up. I showered and texted Deidre. Then I ate and once she got to my apartment we hung out and worked on some dance stuff. She'll be showing a good friend of hers how to Salsa, so I taught her some tricks about how to teach people the stuff they need to know. Mostly in terms of the music, which tends to be the biggest sticking point for new people. After I went over to Jeana and Sara's apartment. Jeana turned 22 earlier this week, so she had a shindig for celebration. That was terribly enjoyable. We hung out and eventually watched the movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I picked up Chinese Food from China Diner before coming home and now that I've blogged and eaten I may be going to bed soon. I think I'm going to spend some more time looking at Sports Statistics online first, though. It's a mild obsession of mine and increasing recently. Why, you ask? While I do enjoy baseball and football, basketball is my real passion. Baseball is not the most exciting to watch, honestly, but the stats are terribly fun to analyze. Football is a lot of fun to watch, but not as stats oriented. I've found a few websites that offer some stats, but the real joy of the game is in watching, not reading. Basketball, however, in addition to my original passion for the game also boasts wonderful statistical analysis and it's a real joy to watch. So, football season is now waning and basketball season has finally rounded out of the very beginning of the season and thus is really hitting the peak of the action. Still early enough for plenty of speculation as to possible developments and enough time has passed for trends to have begun to develop. There are definitely interesting aspects to both.

Class

Woke up for a class at 9 AM. Pretty early. Tomorrow will be slightly earlier. I need to buy some Scantrons for tests. Including the one that's happening tomorrow. Must be to weed out people who don't really want to be in the class. Should be a very interesting class, although it does seem to be full of jack-offs. Luckily it's pretty much just lecture and video, so without discussion I don't have to worry too much about my fellow classmates. Also, no notes are necessary as there are study guides that feature bolded entries that will likely be on the tests. Makes my life easier, it does. Came home thereafter. Eventually got a text from Ben telling me that we're scheduled to play at 10:45. I was kinda confused, but eventually we worked out that the concerto competition he asked me to help him with is this Saturday at 10:45. So I went to UNR and ran through the accompaniment for the first time. Mostly very easy, but there are a few difficult sections. It'll be fine, honest. Then I picked up China Diner and came home. Browsed the internet for a while now, soon to eat and go to bed. Night.

Con Air

Is just a really terrible movie. Nicolas Cage has no right to ever be on a movie screen ever, nor to have any of his movies shown on any sort of public medium. But now I'm just saying things that you all already know. Today was the first day after Christmas, eh? Very enjoyable. My parents met me at my apartment and we went to the DMV. I now have Nevada plates on my car. Also, my car is officially paid off. I'm pretty stoked about both of those things. Then we drove around and visited some stores. Most notably was Scheel's. Ridiculously big, that place is. Yoda like, do I write, apparently. We came home and took care of a few things and then picked Deidre up so we could all go out to dinner at Palais de Jade. After we came back to the apartment and the parentals went back to their hotel. I got the best gift ever from Lyn: a muddler! I'm far too excited by little things, honestly. It's even kinda shiny, so there's that too. I'm going to go to bed now, so as to wake up tomorrow and all.

Monday Night Football

I'm definitely watching MNF now as the World Series game has been delayed now on account of rain. I woke up in the morning at a decent time, i.e. 8:00 AM, and drove over to Saturn of Reno. I kinda looked over my Latin and slightly dozed off. It happens. I'm rather sleep deprived. Hopefully be going to bed soon. May eat some food first, may now. I don't know yet. I got my oil changed and took care of the smog check. I still gotta go over to the DMV at some point to get Nevada plates. I showered and went to school. All philosophy today. Organ lesson went pretty well, all things being equal. Before it Art introduced me to a wonderful young woman that is hoping to apply to grad school. He doesn't have the time, so he gave the accompanying gig to me. I'll be able to make a fair amount of money as she has quite a few songs to look at. I came home after getting China Diner and watched the two games with Lyn. The football game has been much more fun to watch. With all the rain and flooding of the turf, the baseball game wasn't that enjoyable. At any rate I'm going to either eat or go to bed. Night!

Movie Night!

I went to school early so that I could meet with Anna and possibly choose a standard to do with her for the American Music Concert. We looked through the real book some and she selected a song and made copies. She made the copy after I had gone to class, however, so I still need to get my book back from her. Intro to the Philosophy of the Arts wasn't too bad. We had to turn in our VSAs today. I think he does that mostly so that we attend class on Fridays. I then met Deidre for lunch. She picked me up at my apartment and we went to Palais de Jade for some Chinese food. I made a few calls and went to UNR for 6 hours worth of Social Dance. That was pretty hip. I picked Nicole up from Steve's house and we went over to Mike's place and we joined them for a movie night. That was a lot of fun and a little bit different than I'm used to. Not bad, not bad at all. Anyway, I'm going to get some food in me and then go to sleep.

Myspace doesn't like me right now...

So I'm just posting the one blog here. Started the day with plenty of sleep. Philosophy of the Arts was fairly interesting. Then I got Chinese food and went to CFA to eat it. Adam showed me a game called Lemonade Tycoon. Interesting looking game. You can play it for free for an hour and then you have to pay to register it. I can't spare the $10 to help a starving programmer, though. Self and Other spent a lot of time playing with Freud. We've got more Freud to read for Wednesday. I'll give a greater summary of him then. Ethical Theory spent some time playing with memory, but not too long, seeing as how it's not a memory course. My Organ lesson went well considering I hadn't had one last week. I just need to work on focusing in on my pieces, instead of taking on too many and not really learning any of them. I also need to make sure I practice consistently. It doesn't help anything to scatter my practice times. I gotta do at least a half an hour daily. I came home and watched Monday Night Football with Lyn. The Chargers destroyed the New York Jets. Then we watched the new episode of How I Met Your Mother and two episodes of Heroes. I hadn't ever really watched Heroes before, but it seems like a good show worth checking out some time. I've done some reading and chatted with people I don't know on www.anicechat.com . It's well worth checking out if you get the chance. Some cool peeps on there. Just don't give out any private info. Now I'm going to sleep though. Night!

Friday Indeed

I woke up but couldn't force myself to not sleep in too much before going to class. Intro the the Philosophy of the Arts was hip. After that I stopped by the CFA and chilled with Bri some before going home. Jennie had asked me to run a sectional, but Bri covered it for me. So luckily she owed me one and we're even now. I ate food and showered at home then went to Lombardi for dance. I had 6 hours, as per usual on Fridays. That was very productive, especially after explaining some things to some people. I came home and chilled with Mike and Lyn. We went and got Chinese food. While eating it, Mike and I discussed much philosophy. Then we all played Mario Kart Wii together. That was fun, especially because I won. :-D Now I'm going to bed for quite some time, oh yeah.
