Sunday

So I went to church in the morning. That was not terrible. Then went to dance camp. That was alright. Came home and played some video games. I watched the Roast of Joan Rivers. I ate some food and will probably be going to bed soon.

Dance

So I didn't even leave my room until I needed to eat. Pretty lazy and plenty of internet. I did shower, so that was good, though. I made some chicken with pasta and then went to N.E.B. to dance some. That was definitely hip, especially this one girl I kept dancing with. Something like 3 separate West Coast Swings, not to mention a variety of other dances. Always good. Came home and played some vidya, just because I could. Then bought groceries. I got a bunch of stuff, but most especially more peppers and some chili sauce. I've decided to try and increase the amount of heat in the spiciness of my food, hopefully that'll help with my allergies and congestion. Anyway, I'm going to eat the eggs I hard-boiled and then go to sleep. I've got church tomorrow morning, so maybe 5 hours worth of sleep.

Lazy Day

I slept in for seemingly forever. Eventually making my appearance known in the living room. I watched some baseball for a bit. Also ate food. Then picked up Nicole and went to church choir rehearsal. That went pretty quick. Then came back home and just browsed the internet and texted a friend for a while. Watched some episodes of Avatar with Chris and made both of us food. Just chicken fried in olive oil and margarine. Then garlic, onions and red pepper flakes on top of pasta. Rather tasty. I didn't have quite enough olive oil and too high of heat so it started to smoke some. I added the margarine and saved it from burning and also added enough fat that I could actually cook the chicken in at a decent smoke point. So thank goodness for Good Eats so I could actually save it and know how and why to do that. Yay for having knowledge!

New Roommate

So my day started with church with Nicole. That was not a bad way to end the year. I'm taking a month off from that church-ness on Sundays, at least. I'll likely be involved with some random stuff, but nothing so regular. Then we ate some Panda Express and came back to the apartment and discovered that Chris had arrived. New roommate! Definitely excited for that, although I will miss not having Lyn in that room. I'll adjust, not bad, just different, yaknow? Then after we finished moving his stuff in we hung out. Eventually played a game of Munchkin. His mom got there eventually and we moved the rest of his stuff in. We four all went out to Thai food thereafter. Rather tasty, yesh indeed. Came home and chilled some more. Discovered the physics I thought I had to do online for Monday is due Thursday. So not doing that tonight. I'll still type up a lab report tomorrow and do about 5 more steps in the syllabus, but not tonight! Now I'm going to sleep. I just finished eating a late night snack and watching some South Park. Definitely time for sleep now. Oh yeah, also watched some other stuff, mostly random, although one I'll probably revisit would be Invader Zim. Watched the first episode tonight, advantage of having downloaded the series.

Sleep

Not the song by Eric Whitacre, but rather what I did. From 3 AM to noon, wherein I woke up to some spinning by Dave, I think, I was rather asleep still, and used the bathroom, drank some water. And lied back down. When next I awoke it was about 5 PM. Then I didn't really do too much. I read baseball stuff online, made food, took a bubble bath while watching South Park, and actually was kinda productive near the end because I did some syllabus work. 4 more steps added to the 5 from yesterday. 5 left in Waltz for Bronze out of the book, maybe more supplementally. It's a good thing. Church and helping Chris move in tomorrow. Between church and moving in, Nicole and I will be spending most of the day together. She's agreed to help Chris move in too, so that'll be good. I'll have to do some physics stuff writing-wise either tomorrow or Monday morning, and 10 physics problems online by Monday at 11:59 PM. So it'll be good. I'm hoping to have those 5 more steps for waltz done by Tuesday at the latest. Then I might start in on Tango. For now, though, as I mentioned before, sleep.

Sleep

So I'm going to bed now, as I've got a physics exam in the morning. Quick summary: physics, home, pool, crazy drunk jobless fellow (will expand more tomorrow, so long as I remember to), dance stuff with Andy, church choir with Nicole, back home with no Lyn as she moved out today. :-( That combined with the deaths of MJ and FF have tempered an otherwise pretty sweet day. Sunday Chris will move in, so that's good, and Lyn is going off to wonderful things, so I'm happy for her and her opportunities. Still, she has to be one of the best roommates I've had, easy. Nothing personal to the rest of y'all, honest, just not the same, though. I'll definitely expand tomorrow. Should make for a long blog. I might post after I get back from physics exam, before going to Jeffrey's for a while.

Double Dip

So yesterday started with playing church. I wasn't supposed to, but my other piano player decided not to show up, nor to contact me. Really rather frustrating. I'll have to figure out what to do about that later. Then I came home and ate foodage. Called up my parentals and talked with them for about an hour on the phone. Then I chilled for a bit with the roommates before heading out to Jeffrey's. I practiced for a while and then talked with Jeffrey about stuff. Worked on some writing, I'll clean it up and send it out tomorrow. I gotta do some writing for tribe stuff and also send something to Father Jose about an announcement I'm planning to make next Sunday. I'll take care of those tomorrow at some point. Now for today. I woke up and went to class straight away and had trouble focusing for a while. We got our tests back and so spent about an hour go over those. I got 100%, so I didn't really pay any attentino. I came home and watched the very end of the U.S. Open. Interesting stuff. I wrote up my lab report and went to the lab after eating, of course. The lab was fairly quick and easy, actually. I chilled at home for a while and eventually worked on my physics problems. I just realized I'm supposed to do a take-home quiz for tomorrow, but I'll just do my best to wake up and get there early and do it then. It's fairly easy, I just have to do it. I went to the fitness center for the apartment and used the treadmill for 65 minutes or so. I only went about 3 miles an hour, so it was pretty much just power walking, enough to raise my heartrate, but nothing that would wear me out too quickly. I'm going to work on building up my endurance. For tonight, though, I don't really feal it too much, except for a little cramping in the arches of my feets, especially the left one. Has to do with how I was using them, I think. Interesting stuff again. For now, sleep.

The Return of Wedding

This is the second of three weddings that I'll be attending this summer. I went to Josh and Amanda's wedding at 9 AM this morning. Technically the latest I'll have for any morning this week. Wonderful. The service was beautiful. It was interesting watching a Catholic service, albeit an altered one for the wedding and mixed audience. Mixed faiths, that is. I met the music director for St. Albert's after the service, which was good. Yay networking! I went home and made some garlic pasta with a salad. Then I went to Starlite and spent the next 6 hours working for the reception following Josh and Amanda's wedding. I did a whole bunch of odd jobs, but the thing I spent the most time doing was watching the water levels on several tables because we didn't have enough pitchers. I basically ended up forcing lots of people to submit to my bad jokes to receive water. I also did some DJing at the end because the real DJ had to do other stuff like serving cake. I came home after that and ate some classic food for me, pasta and corn. I watched more South Park. I'll be going to bed pretty soon now. Gotta be up and at the church by 8 tomorrow because my other piano player is just so flakey. Awesome, really.

Mmmm Food

I'm writing this whilst my food finishes cooking. Garlic and herb sauce over pasta and chicken. I went to physics this morning, then came home. Tried to take a nap from about 10 to noon, but my alarm ended up being set on CD instead of radio. So no noise on that one, so I didn't wake up until about 3:45 or so. Then I ate some food and took a shower. Watched South Park before picking up Nicole for church choir rehearsal. That went pretty well. I came home and worked on Physics online for a while. I figure I'll be decently prepared for the test tomorrow morning. I'll go to sleep after eating. Night all!

Sleepy?

I know, I know, it's early. I didn't get much sleep last night. Like barely 3 hours worth. I slept through my alarm and woke up at 7:40 when Nicole called me. I threw on some clothes and drove to Holy Cross. Nicki was playing the piano, but she wanted me there to direct, and so I did. For both masses. I encouraged her to take a chance and play both even though she was feeling pretty down after the first mass. I also encouraged one of the members of the choir to take a chance. Those chances paid off to mixed results, but I'm still happy I got them to try. I think they both learnt from it and will be better off in the future for it. It's fun to be responsible sometimes. I came home and washed dishes. Well, put them in the dishwasher, watched South Park, and then emptied it and loaded it again. Then I made some food. Watched the NBA finals game, Magic almost managed to win one, almost. I made myself some Garlic Chicken with Pasta. Very tasty. I rather enjoy that dish, although I do need to learn how to make more recipes. Probably some stuff involving sauces. I'd like to learn how to make a sauce from scratch at some point, instead of just buying Prego or such. Eventually, anyway. Tomorrow I start Physics, so that should be interesting. 8 AM, so between little sleep last night and early day tomorrow, I'm going to bed now. Night!

Awesome :-D

Pretty much a good day. Mostly. Better ending than beginning. I started off with waking up and showering and going to Starlite. Got there by about 3 PM ish. That's when it started getting hectic. I didn't get a break from doing stuff until 8 PM. Not at all. I was running the music and none of it was planned ahead, not really. I had to figure out the music for all the competition heats. I also had to track down a large number of the music for the solo routines. It was long and rather stressful. I had something really sweet waiting for me after, though. Went to see Greg London's Iconman at Harrah's. I know one of the showgirls who sings and dances in the show, so she got me a ticket. Turned out to be a V.I.P. ticket, so I got to sit down pretty close to the stage. After I met some of the members of the band, including Mr. Greg London himself. It's awesome knowing someone in the show. We hung out after at a bar in Harrah's called Sapphire. That was pretty sweet, getting to know a few people. I just wish I had gone to bed sooner, given the whole church thing tomorrow. Oh well, at least I'll make money off of it.

Twofer 21er

I tried to update from my computer yesterday and the internet was being pissy. I tried to update from my phone, but my phone was being pissy. So you get a twofer tonight. Yesterday I had class and such. It was good. I decided not to go out and dance socially, but still was called upon to go help with some editing stuffage. I had to slow down a song a little bit for the showcase this Saturday. I also had to extend a song that had an original length of 1:38 to about 4:05. I think that's a new record for me. Anyway, I came home and eventually went to sleep. Lots of South Park, I'm pretty sure.

Woke up just in time to make it to class, albeit a little late. Then I came home after class and ate food. I also changed into formal attire. More on why later. I had my lesson with Jeffrey and it was actually really good. We worked exclusively on the Hustle basic, but had a fantastic discussion on technique. Then I picked up Nicole and we had church choir rehearsal. Not too bad. Then I dropped her off and I went by the Polo Lounge. A friend of mine was singing. He did quite well, actually. I left and stopped by home to take care of a few things before heading downtown. Tonight was Natalee's 21st birthday. I joined some very hip dance folks and we had a ton of fun. I met some hip people while dancing at 210 North too. Exchanged some phone numbers. Awesome. Then I got China Diner and came home. Now I'm going to go to sleep. Awesome. Again.

A Glass of Port

I've only just finished my only one, so I should still be plenty cognizant. Don't worry too much. I had church this morning, although no Nicole. Too bad. She needed a week off, though, so it was okay. The services went roughly as expected. It was kinda fun having 7 people to sing at the 10:30. Attendance is good. Came home and chilled for a while. Played a game of Madden with Dave. That was definitely fun. I went to the woods to help someone walk 4 dogs. That was also enjoyable. I came home and chilled some more. I just finished eating again and having a glass of port. Oh yeah, for lunch and dinner I had made Garlic Chicken and Pasta. Fairly tasty. I'll have to make it more often. But not now. Now I sleep.

Twofer Wedding

I definitely just got really sleepy last night and so went straight to bed. Sorry about that one. Yesterday I had class, which worked out alright. Then I practiced some piano and went home to print out a little more music. Then I went to the church for the rehearsal of the wedding. That went well. Went to Pinocchio's after that for the rehearsal dinner and all that. I came home and chilled with the roommates for a bit. Dave went to bed and I finished watching the movie "21" with Lynface. Then I had some Port. Rather tasty, and I watched some South Park. I ended up dozing off during one of the episodes and then decided to go to bed. So no blog. Whoops.

Today I woke up and showered and went to the church to play for the wedding. It actually went quite quickly and I could've easily made it to the concert for the Gamelan Sekar Jaya. It would've been pretty spiffy, but I decided to go to the reception for Chelsea instead. Both are once in a lifetime experiences, but I could always travel to see a Gamelan, not so much for Chelsea getting married. I stayed at the reception until about a quarter after 8. Then I went to Starlite for some dancing. They had a live big band, so that was fun. I hadn't eaten much, so I was kinda light-headed and generally took it easy there. I got a couple dances in with Andy, though, so that was awesome. She was busy taking care of stuff so I stuck around to say goodnight to her. Ended up hanging out with Carol, the receptionist for Starlite. A fellow had forgotten his coat and came back to pick it up. Turns out that it worked out well that I had stayed, so that Andy and I could talk and wait to keep an eye out on that skeezy fellow not being too creepy while talking with Carol. Anyway, came home and watched some more South Park, I'm rather enjoying watching any episode for free and having the option of it picking one randomly for me. Anyway, I'm going to sleep now. Church tomorrow morning and all.

Sunday

I had church this morning. That went alright. Nothing too exciting, nor terrible during the services. My piano playing was a little sketchy, but I've had worse. Dan was in town and so Nicole, myself and he went out to eat for lunch. That was nice. After I came back and tidied up my room a bit. Not quite done with it yet, but getting closer. Shreading some stuff helps, not gonna lie. Following that I made some garlic pasta and a salad. I felt quite fancy, especially with the parsley on top. Dave and I went to see Star Trek. That was definitely hip. I've been lazy since then, just chilling and doing some laundry. I'm also drinking a Stiletto. Yes, drinking. Interesting thing, that one, Amaretto, Bourbon and Lime juice. Not bad, not bad at all. Anyway, sleep after my blankets are dry.

Twofer?

I'll try for the twofer, I'm kinda tired now, but I haven't eaten yet, so I won't go to sleep yet. I had class both yesterday and today. World Music really is quite a lot of fun. Then I more than likely came home yesterday following purchase of the CDs for the listening portion of the class. I think I probably hung out and didn't really do too much. I did a bit more today, though. I came home and ate after dropping off The Terminator. I accidentally kept the DVD itself, while turning in the box. No late fee, though, so that was just mildly embarrassing. Whoops. Food was tasty. Then I had my lesson with Jeffrey Lynn. Always a good time. Got gas as my light had come on signaling it needed food. Picked up Nicole and went to Holy Cross for choir rehearsal. Figured out that apparently I'll be playing this weekend. Eh, at least I'll get paid for that. Then I dropped Nicole off and went to GSR, to Pearl specifically. We were celebrating Andy's birthday from a few days ago. She's all old and of age and such now. Plenty of time spent there. I left at 2 after getting there at 8:30. I also watched the tail end of the Lakers Nuggets game and was quite pleased with the results. Mwa ha ha. Tomorrow I've got a quiz, but for now I eat and sleep. Night!

Last Day of Freedom

I woke up early for church this morning. The 8:30 service was fantastic, it went really well. The 10:30 mass was a little more sketchy. I only had one singer and she didn't feel terribly comfortable flying solo, but she got through it and it was a learning experience for her. Then I went home and showed the apartment to Chris and his mother. Dave came home and met them, too. Then I went to lunch with them and we ate at Macaroni Grill. Hung out with Chris, Lyn and Dave after that, then took him to a dinner thing at one of his friends' house. I hung out at the apartment for a while and worked on laundry. That reminds me, I gotta move that tonight. Chris and I went to hang out with Erin H after he was done with his dinner. Erin, Chris and I talked from about 11 until at least 3:20 or so. That was a lot of fun. We really need to do that more often. I'm going to sleep now, seeing as how I have class tomorrow.

Star Trekking

So the first thing I had to do officially was my lesson at 5. I ended up developing some plans before that that involved trying to go see Star Trek. I didn't plan out the timing of it very well, unfortunately. I tried Parklane, but just missed it. Then I drove to Riverside and parked in the garage, but there were no available movie times. So I checked out Dharma Books. Hip place, that one, but I didn't buy anything. Ended up leaving, so I had to pay $2 for that parking. I met a friend for lunch at Pneumatic, but there wasn't much available parking, so I paid another $1.75 for parking. Then I found out that Pneumatic is now a cash only institution. So I had to go to the convinience store on the corner and use that ATM. Another $2.50 in service fees. Kinda frustrating. At least lunch was good. Eventually I went to Starlite and had my lesson with Jeffrey. I picked up Nicole for church choir rehearsal. I picked her up at her new digs. Pretty hip location, I'll have to check it out after they're done moving in. Coincidentally, if anyone is looking for a place to live, I know a place. I'm just saying. They're good people, I'll vouch for them. Afterwards, I figured, eh, why not? And went to see Star Trek. Good movie, that one. I rather enjoyed it. Kinda makes me want to watch the series and other movies now. I'm quite the geek, I know, but I enjoy it. Anyone want to join me in Star Trekking?

Finals Part 1

I'm actually much more sleepy than I thought I would be by now. Not as much detail in the update, then. I had my Latin final at 8:30 or so this morning. That went better than expected, but not as well as was possible. Pretty much like my entire Latin career. Then I had my organ jury. I ate food before going to Lombardi and working on the choreography final. I'm actually really excited for that now that Yoshi and Liz will be doing my choreography. With such good dancers, they'll make my choreography look better than it is. I had my lesson with Jeffrey which was a lot of fun. I learned a lot and I hope she learned some too. I try to ask good questions, after all. Then I had church choir rehearsal. That was very interesting in some monetary ways. If you want to know more, ask me in some less public medium and I'll clue you in. Then I went to a Hookah bar to help Brielle and Megan with theory homework. Hopefully they'll both do well tomorrow. If so, I'd be quite proud. I bought China Diner and came home and ate that while taking a bubble bath. Mmmm, bubbles. Anyway, sleep. Post Mortem at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Night!

Couple of Days' Worth

Alright, so Saturday for the Jazz Festival was pretty much wholly the volunteering thing. Deidre picked me up and we went to Olive Garden for food. Then we went back and hung out for a while. I was really quite tired and thanks to her, awfully relaxed and sleepy, so I went straight to sleep after she left rather than blog first. It's not my fault, I swear. I didn't have to wake up for church on Sunday for the first time since my birthday over two months ago. I picked Yoshi up and we went to Fascinating Rhythm for the Opus 5 Dance audition for ARTown this summer. I had a lot of fun at the audition, but don't believe I made it into any dances. I'll know for sure by this Friday. I went home and took an Epsom Salt bath given how sore I was from the audition. It lasted some 4 hours without any real break except for changing shoes or inbetween groups during the audition. I worked on my paper, but didn't have it done before trying to go to sleep. I took a nap and worked some more. I ended up taking another nap, but that one lasted longer than anticipated and I essentially woke up this morning. So no blog last night for that reason. I didn't go to Sartre, nor Ballet this morning, but I did finish my paper for 19th Cent. Phil. I went to UNR by a little after 1 and worked on laying floor in Nightingale with some dance peeps. Then I went to 19th Cent. Phil. They needed more help, or so I thought, so I didn't go to my organ lesson. Except for a quick break in which I went home to get my laptop, I stayed from 4 PM to 10 PM. During that break, I actually got a ride to my car from what was essentially a golf cart driven by some student cadets with the UNR police department. That was kinda interesting. I've just finished eating and now blogging for several days' worth of activities. Time for sleep.
