Sunday

So I went to church in the morning. That was not terrible. Then went to dance camp. That was alright. Came home and played some video games. I watched the Roast of Joan Rivers. I ate some food and will probably be going to bed soon.

Dance

So I didn't even leave my room until I needed to eat. Pretty lazy and plenty of internet. I did shower, so that was good, though. I made some chicken with pasta and then went to N.E.B. to dance some. That was definitely hip, especially this one girl I kept dancing with. Something like 3 separate West Coast Swings, not to mention a variety of other dances. Always good. Came home and played some vidya, just because I could. Then bought groceries. I got a bunch of stuff, but most especially more peppers and some chili sauce. I've decided to try and increase the amount of heat in the spiciness of my food, hopefully that'll help with my allergies and congestion. Anyway, I'm going to eat the eggs I hard-boiled and then go to sleep. I've got church tomorrow morning, so maybe 5 hours worth of sleep.

Cooking Experiment

So I spent most of today with a friend. We watched a comedy DVD, ate food, and also talked plenty late at night. Dance tonight was at a new location entitled "The Sanctuary". Pretty hip place, actually. Then as I mentioned, talked plenty with a friend. I came home and texted the Kara for a while. I also tried making chicken with a new combination of spices. By that I mean, I took a spice mix that Lyn had mixed a long time ago and left and put that in with the flour. Then I was worried it was too diluted, so I added more paprika, allspice, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic salt and maybe something else too. I can't remember. It smelt really good, but after cooking, the taste did not quite come through. I will definitely make it a point to play with spices more often. And it will always go well with rice, so that's nice. Protein and grain make for a tasty and filling meal. I'll have to start getting some vegetables in there too. Probably start cooking them with the chicken. Celery, carrots, both good. Maybe some onion too. Possibly peppers too, red and or green. I'll have to consider some more veggie action at some point. I'm slowly getting better at having decent nutrition. Anyway, sleep now. I'm meeting Krystal at the CFA tomorrow at 1. And hopefully Chris is making me lunch so long as I can ambush him before he puts the cheese in his penne.

Toosday

I've done that one before, sorry about that. Title, I mean. At any rate, I slept in till about noon. Woke up slowly then realized what was what and quickly showered and ate a bit of food before going to Starlite for a lesson with Jeffrey. Not bad, went to Barnes and Noble and bought some DVDs as a gift for a friend. Also did some more shopping and got a gift for Lyn. I think she'll be quite happy with it, but we'll find out exactly whether she likes it at her party. Anyway, came home and ate some food and watched some Rurouni Kenshin with Chris. Also wrapped the aforementioned DVDs. Some shit went down, both away from here and just across the way. A couple people know what I'm talkng about, but I figure I shouldn't blog about as such. Went to N.E.B. and took Jeffrey's technique class. Stuck around after that and worked on a routine for certification and all that action. Pretty hip indeed. Talked some with a friend after that, I take what time with her I can, she's pretty busy. Gave the present I'd wrapped earlier and it was well-received. Came home and played some Smash Bros. with Chris. Also made food. I tried something a little different. Not terrible, but still needs refining. I attempted to cook the chicken just with some oil on it and slight seasoning instead of breading it with flour first. Less oil, so it's probably a little healthier, and certainly different texture. I also cooked some corn and rice. The rice had a different ratio of water to rice than I'd been using and I also salted the water and had significantly different results with the problems of it bubbling over in the past. Chris and I watched two episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, heretoafter referred to as Avatar. Not a bad show, considering it's a kids' show. I also watched the three episodes of Imaginationland from South Park and now I've blogged. Going to sleep now, and we'll see what happenes tomorrow, eh?

It's a Tuesday, what more do you want from me?

I'm admittedly less than sober, but still able to pass muster by Chris? I'll take whatever I can get by this point. Today I woke up later and then ate food and showered. I went to my lesson, which was meh. Then practiced with Deidre, which could've been better, I was rather lacking during this particular rehearsal. Then I ate food at a 7-11 and then went to N.E.B. for technique class. That was not terrible. I came home straight away and Chris and I watched some random TV inbetween some random vidya with Kara over. She left, though so we watched an episode of Good Eats and whatever else was on TV. I watched soem South Park and Moral Orel whilst I consumer a bottle of Port. It's pretty much finished now, but I can still edit thanks to word processing. Sorry about that, I still seem sober, despite rather not being sober.

Twofer, Again

So I just fell asleep last night and didn't blog. Sorry about that. Yesterday consisted of me getting woken up by Deidre because I slept through my alarm and all. Awesome start. She did me a favor by taking me to get my car. Chris' sister answered the door and apparently until she opened my door, I was the only one in the apartment not awake. Very stupid of me, but I guess I just suck. I got my car alright and drove to Jeffrey's. We had a tribe day and that was all somewhat hip. I came back to Reno and showered, then took Chris and his sister to Carson City, specifically the Brewery Arts Center. We watched Urinetown, that was quite hip. Especially seeing some of the people there that I hadn't in a while. Today, I woke up rather later and again got a ride from Deidre. This time to Jeffrey's for practice. We did work there for a while. Then we came back to Reno and got Chinese food. That was hip. Oh yeah, before fooding she showed me where she's living now. Jenna's a roommate, so this will likely be the only time I ever see her place, so yeah. Then after fooding she took me back and I chilled with the roomies. Played some Smashies. Then watched some random TV and after midnight Chris and I bought groceries. I got the supplies needed to make a homemade tomato sauce, the likes of which can be found here. Anyway, ate some food and watched Moral Orel with Chris. He went to bed and I watched an episode of Good Eats. Now I've just browsed the internet some. Now I'll be going to sleep until I wake up tomorrow. No plans tomorrow, so plenty of sleep with no alarm. Awesome.

Classy

I woke up late. Watched some South Park and Good Eats while eating. Then showered. Got a ride with Deidre to class tonight. That was hip. The class(es?) went well, and I got a ride home from Ruth. She told me about some exciting plans for her tomorrow night. She'll be competing in the Bikini contest at the Sands pool party tomorrow night. If you're in Reno and without something to do, check it out, eh? At any rate, I chilled with Chris for a while at home and eventually we went to campus and did some more Amtgard for a couple of hours. Definitely a full-body sport, I'm plenty sore in plenty of places. Gotta keep doing it, though. It's good for getting into better shape to do something that physical. I played some Smashies after we returned and watched both some Good Eats and Moral Orel. Now I'm going to sleep. Hopefully I'll have my car back tomorrow. So long as nothing unexpected has come up.

Pajama Party

Well, not a party, so to speak, but still a good day whenever I don't have to get out of my pajamas and still feel productive at the end of the day. I slept in until about 2 in the afternoon. Then I ate food and watched some South Park. I cleaned the kitchen with Chris. Looks three times as big when better organized and clean. Then I played some Metroid. I also ate food again later and played more Metroid and then cleaned up what I had in the living room area. We also watched some Home Movies. Dave will hopefully get his stuff taken care of and vacuum by the time I get back on Monday. I'm going to pack and go to sleep now. Have a great weekend!

Woot

All done with physics for the semester. I actually get a break now, pretty much amazing. I slept in through class this morning because I was having a dream with a really interesting plot. Of course I couldn't remember that plot after I woke up, but I remember it was well worth staying asleep for. Then I did a load of dishes. Then I went to UNR and dropped off my lab write-ups. I came home and discovered we still didn't have internet. I contacted Ryan, and awesome landlord that he is, helped us out by contacting Charter and then looking into changing to AT&T DSL. Probably won't be as fast, but will hopefully be more reliable. The internet did come back, so thankfully I didn't have to go to UNR for my quizzes. I did the four of them online, very quick, actually. And finished physics for the summer. Woot woot. Then played some Metroid for the Wii. I can't remember the full title, but it is in fact a Metroid. I'll be playing that one next, so it should be plenty of fun. I ate food and cleaned up the apartment some. I'll be doing much more of that tomorrow. I had dance class at Starlite at 6. Then went to Wingfield Park by 8 for Opus Five, an Artown dance concert. Then from there I went straight to Nicole's house to play Rockband with her, Steve, and Chris. Came home and watched some Home Movies and ate food. I'll be going to bed now. I get to sleep in tomorrow. Woot woot.

Stuffed Turkey

That's kinda how I feel. I ate a little too quickly and too much. Oh well. I had physics this morning. That wasn't too terribly exciting, so I didn't really wake up that much. I came home and took a nap. It was supposed to be a quickie from 10 to 11. I woke up at 12:30. I'm either really good or really bad at napping. Not sure, anyway luckily I didn't have to do anything before my lesson at 2. I showered and ate food. Then went to Starlite and had my lesson. That went pretty well. I chilled at home for a while. Played a game of Madden with Dave. Then eventually some Smashies with Chris. Indeed, lots of Wii play. I'll hopefully have time to play some single-player stuff soon. I'll also be doing work on syllabus stuff. I'm hoping to get Tango and Viennese Waltz done by next Friday. I also watched plenty of Home Movies and South Park. As well as an episode of Good Eats. Nicole came over and we played a game of epic Munchkin, awesome. After she left Chris and I went to the fitness center for a half an hour of treadmilling. I didn't really feel too tired after we finished, so I'll have to make sure to work harder next time out. I got the machine without the heart sensor, so I just used a hill program. Definitely didn't push myself hard enough, though. Next time. Anyway, I'm going to sleep now.

Dance Dance without a Revolution

So I woke up a little later than originally planned and discovered that the Wimbledon final men's single match was still going. Federer and Roddick were still going at it, so I watched to the end of the match. Finally Fed won, of course, although it took forever and the 5th set went 16-14. 30 games! OMG, seriously. That was ironic, btw. Anyway, I showered and then drove out to Truckee to work with Deidre. We ended up practicing for about 4 hours, so that was a fair amount of dance. Then I came back, and it took forever to drive back. One lane on an interstate doesn't work so well around dinner-time. There was actually a point that it was stopped and about twenty minutes of 5 miles per hour. I stopped by Walmart and bought two things I'd been needing to. An HDMI cable so I can connect my laptop to the TV, and a dust buster. Commentary on the state of technology? The cable cost more than the dust buster. Ridiculous. Anyway, I watched some Good Eats, some South Park, and some Family Guy. All from the laptop on TV. Sweetness. I did some physics writing, but not finished yet. I'm just waiting on some laundry right now before going to bed. Last week of physics, woot woot!

Pre-Holiday

But it was still a day off. No class this morning, so I slept in till 11. Then lay in bed for a little under an hour. I made foodage and showered and then went to Starlite and did syllabus work until about 4. Then stopped by Best Buy on my way home to check out TVs. I think Chris, Dave and I are going to pool money and get one for the common room. I think we're looking at in between three and four hundred dollars for a combined budget. I'm hoping we can get a decent, although budget, TV that's 32" and has versatile imputs. Then I came home and chilled. Watched some Good Eats, I've now acquired the first 12 seasons of that show. Awesome. I also played some Smash Bros. before Chris and then Dave both got home around the same time. Eventually Nicole came over to hang out. Chris, Nicole and I played Rockband for a couple of hours. I've opted not to have a night snack, as I'm feeling somewhat tired. In fact, I'm going to sleep, and will enjoy the day off tomorrow for the actual holiday. Sweetness with the coffee.

Busy

I went to physics this morning and I think didn't do too terribly. I didn't have any idea how to do one of them, but I think I probably got the other 9 out of 10. Should be more than enough for passing. Then came back home and chilled with Chris for a while. I cooked some lunch, chicken and pasta with garlic oil and a salad on the side. Very tasty, and in sharing my ability to make as such, I've definitely improved my life. Very few people probably understand what I just said. Anyway, just chilled for a while after that, actually. Played some Smash Bros. with Chris too. Then I deposited the check from the church and paid rent and power. Then I came back and Chris and I went to the fitness center and treadmilled it for about 35 minutes. Then I ate dinner and went to Starlite for class. Two hours worth and then we talked about stuff for a while after that. I came home and worked on some physics online, but I didn't finish it. It just seemed like too much effort for not enough gain. Especially after the test had already happened and all. I watched some Home Movies with Chris and now I've made food. I'll be going to bed after eating the hard-boiled eggs I just made.

Day

I'll come up with a good title some other time. I slept in this morning, but not too much. Just enough to miss class. I heard later that I'd missed, absolutely nothing. I did, however, this morning finish my lab report and syllabus work for the day. I then went to my lab, very quick and very easy. Then I came home and Lynface came over to chill for a while. She had to use the internet. Then I went out and had my lesson with Jeffrey. Also got some feedback on the syllabus work. Then came home. I went and did stuff in the pool for a while. Came back and made dinner. Then Chris and I went to get groceries, well I did, he kept me company. After we got back, we chilled with Dave some before he went to sleep. Chris and I were going to go to the treadmill, but they had locked it up for the night. I'll have to actually follow the times posted now, I guess. :-( Meh, we came back to the apartment and then talked about biomechanics for a while. Now I've done very little work on physics and now will be going to sleep. Hopefully tomorrow between knowledge and the book I'll be able to figure it out. I'll let you know how it goes, okay? Oh yeah! I started watching Home Movies again. It'll be my drug of choice through it's 4 seasons for a while.

Settling Down

Chris is getting more settled in, which is good. I'll definitely have to adjust to having someone who may keep similar hours. Lyn typically disappeared by around 11, so I typically ruled the roost after that. It's an adjustment to make, no worries, though. I went to physics this morning and discovered I'd gotten a 90% on my physics exam. Very disappointing. I've decided I'll definitely take the final exam, to try and make up for my poor showing on this round. It was just a stupid mistake too, I read the problem glancingly and thought I knew what I was looking for, but I looked for the wrong thing. Meh, I'll get over it. Then came home and typed up my lab report while watching some Wimbledon action. Tried to watch live on TV, but NBC has decided that it would be better to delay it 3 hours for the West Coast. Fuck network TV, so hard. I hate how much they disregard any kind of global society. Gee, it's just like the Olympics. I don't want to watch something I knew happened 3 hours ago when something new is happening now. That's just idiotic. Sorry if it doesn't line up with your precious schedule, turns out the world doesn't revolve around programming for a network. Idiots. Speaking of which, my lab was terribly conceived today. We were testing Archimedes' Principle, and so we had to find several different things. Very easy conceptual. It was a stupid fucking lab, though. We had to find the density of a wooden block by measuring it's weight in air, and in water. In order to measure it within water, we had to use a sinker. And measure it with the sinker under water both times. The problem? We had to tie the wooden block to the sinker and hang that contraption from a balance. Sounds okay, but we had to tie it using a mono-filament, so that was ridiculous. Took about an hour of pure frustration for my partner and me, just because the physics department couldn't be bothered to have twine instead. Stupid. I came home and then went back out with Chris to visit a friend of his. Chillaxed there for a while. Then came back. Mike came over and I cooked him and Chris foodage. Tasty, tasty. Then we watched various internet videos and played a game of Munchkin. I relaxed more and then went for a short, thirty minutes of treadmill work. Only half an hour and about a mile and a half. My legs cramped up on me a bit. Sad face. I'll have to work on more of that. I think Chris may be interested in joining me at some point, and Dave expressed as much as well. I'll keep going and see who joins me. Not that I don't have confidence one or both of them will join me, just that I figure it's best to keep up with my own goals without worrying about other people. Let them figure out what they want to do for themselves. I made food and watched an episode of South Park with Chris. Blogging now and soon sleep. I may examine how bad the peeling is from my sunburn. It's getting better, though. I'm thinking I'll try to do some pool work if I can figure out a time that's not too crowded and not too sunny. Or maybe it's about time I invest in some sunscreen. Meh, any recommendations?

New Roommate

So my day started with church with Nicole. That was not a bad way to end the year. I'm taking a month off from that church-ness on Sundays, at least. I'll likely be involved with some random stuff, but nothing so regular. Then we ate some Panda Express and came back to the apartment and discovered that Chris had arrived. New roommate! Definitely excited for that, although I will miss not having Lyn in that room. I'll adjust, not bad, just different, yaknow? Then after we finished moving his stuff in we hung out. Eventually played a game of Munchkin. His mom got there eventually and we moved the rest of his stuff in. We four all went out to Thai food thereafter. Rather tasty, yesh indeed. Came home and chilled some more. Discovered the physics I thought I had to do online for Monday is due Thursday. So not doing that tonight. I'll still type up a lab report tomorrow and do about 5 more steps in the syllabus, but not tonight! Now I'm going to sleep. I just finished eating a late night snack and watching some South Park. Definitely time for sleep now. Oh yeah, also watched some other stuff, mostly random, although one I'll probably revisit would be Invader Zim. Watched the first episode tonight, advantage of having downloaded the series.

Sleep

Not the song by Eric Whitacre, but rather what I did. From 3 AM to noon, wherein I woke up to some spinning by Dave, I think, I was rather asleep still, and used the bathroom, drank some water. And lied back down. When next I awoke it was about 5 PM. Then I didn't really do too much. I read baseball stuff online, made food, took a bubble bath while watching South Park, and actually was kinda productive near the end because I did some syllabus work. 4 more steps added to the 5 from yesterday. 5 left in Waltz for Bronze out of the book, maybe more supplementally. It's a good thing. Church and helping Chris move in tomorrow. Between church and moving in, Nicole and I will be spending most of the day together. She's agreed to help Chris move in too, so that'll be good. I'll have to do some physics stuff writing-wise either tomorrow or Monday morning, and 10 physics problems online by Monday at 11:59 PM. So it'll be good. I'm hoping to have those 5 more steps for waltz done by Tuesday at the latest. Then I might start in on Tango. For now, though, as I mentioned before, sleep.

Woodsy

I had a physics exam in the morning. That took about 75 minutes. Embarrassing how long I took to finish that. Meh, hopefully I got another 100%. Then I came home and negotiated some interesting stuff. Also, while I made food, Lyn and her dad came by to finish moving out and vacuuming her room. I went to Jeffrey's at that point and stayed there until about midnight. I spent some time working with Andy and then got some practice in too. Plus it's always good to get fed. Speaking of which, I just finished eating and now feel sleepy, so I'm going to sleep now.

Sleep

So I'm going to bed now, as I've got a physics exam in the morning. Quick summary: physics, home, pool, crazy drunk jobless fellow (will expand more tomorrow, so long as I remember to), dance stuff with Andy, church choir with Nicole, back home with no Lyn as she moved out today. :-( That combined with the deaths of MJ and FF have tempered an otherwise pretty sweet day. Sunday Chris will move in, so that's good, and Lyn is going off to wonderful things, so I'm happy for her and her opportunities. Still, she has to be one of the best roommates I've had, easy. Nothing personal to the rest of y'all, honest, just not the same, though. I'll definitely expand tomorrow. Should make for a long blog. I might post after I get back from physics exam, before going to Jeffrey's for a while.

Moving Bodies

Physics went pretty well this morning. Always hip. Then I came home and watched some tennis and then some soccer. Watched the first half of the game between the U.S. and Spain, wherein the Americans knocked off the no. 1 team in the world, undefeated for 35 games, I think. Then back to UNR for my physics lab. The lab was really easy, but the T.A. is just frustrating sometimes. So get this, my group had finished the last experiment, but hadn't yet printed out our data. Another group's computer wasn't working, so our T.A. suggested they use our machine. S'all good, right? We just had to print out our results, but the printer was out of paper. So the T.A. approaches us and tells us to let them use our computer, I respond by saying that's fine, but we still need to print out our results but the printer is out of paper. So he again tells us to let them use it, and I again tell him that we're unable to print it out and must do that before relinquishing the computer. Then he tells us to print it out, and again I remind him that we're out of paper, and then he tells us one more time that after printing out our results we need to give them our computer. So I just took a pause in hopes he would finally listen, and just said to him slowly "the printer is out of paper." Then he suggested that we wait until he gets some paper. Great idea! Le sigh. I came home and after eating went out to the pool and worked on biomechanics for about an hour. The water provides a very interesting medium, resistance, but also a safety net. I could work to the very end of my stride and have no fear of falling, so if I lost my balance, it was okay. Then I came back in and chilled with Dave and Lyn for a while watching baseball. Eventually I changed and went to the fitness center to speed walk for a while. I ended up doing 1.97 miles in 35 minutes. About 3-4 miles per hour. I did a hill training program, so that was hip. I'm planning to do more of that. I'm considering working at the fitness center Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, while working on dance with peeps on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I'll figure it out, eventually. I ate some food and chilled with Lyn some more. Now I'm going to go to bed, gotta make it to class tomorrow and all!
