Chris is getting more settled in, which is good. I'll definitely have to adjust to having someone who may keep similar hours. Lyn typically disappeared by around 11, so I typically ruled the roost after that. It's an adjustment to make, no worries, though. I went to physics this morning and discovered I'd gotten a 90% on my physics exam. Very disappointing. I've decided I'll definitely take the final exam, to try and make up for my poor showing on this round. It was just a stupid mistake too, I read the problem glancingly and thought I knew what I was looking for, but I looked for the wrong thing. Meh, I'll get over it. Then came home and typed up my lab report while watching some Wimbledon action. Tried to watch live on TV, but NBC has decided that it would be better to delay it 3 hours for the West Coast. Fuck network TV, so hard. I hate how much they disregard any kind of global society. Gee, it's just like the Olympics. I don't want to watch something I knew happened 3 hours ago when something new is happening now. That's just idiotic. Sorry if it doesn't line up with your precious schedule, turns out the world doesn't revolve around programming for a network. Idiots. Speaking of which, my lab was terribly conceived today. We were testing
Archimedes' Principle, and so we had to find several different things. Very easy conceptual. It was a stupid fucking lab, though. We had to find the density of a wooden block by measuring it's weight in air, and in water. In order to measure it within water, we had to use a sinker. And measure it with the sinker under water both times. The problem? We had to tie the wooden block to the sinker and hang that contraption from a balance. Sounds okay, but we had to tie it using a mono-filament, so that was ridiculous. Took about an hour of pure frustration for my partner and me, just because the physics department couldn't be bothered to have twine instead. Stupid. I came home and then went back out with Chris to visit a friend of his. Chillaxed there for a while. Then came back. Mike came over and I cooked him and Chris foodage. Tasty, tasty. Then we watched various internet videos and played a game of Munchkin. I relaxed more and then went for a short, thirty minutes of treadmill work. Only half an hour and about a mile and a half. My legs cramped up on me a bit. Sad face. I'll have to work on more of that. I think Chris may be interested in joining me at some point, and Dave expressed as much as well. I'll keep going and see who joins me. Not that I don't have confidence one or both of them will join me, just that I figure it's best to keep up with my own goals without worrying about other people. Let them figure out what they want to do for themselves. I made food and watched an episode of South Park with Chris. Blogging now and soon sleep. I may examine how bad the peeling is from my sunburn. It's getting better, though. I'm thinking I'll try to do some pool work if I can figure out a time that's not too crowded and not too sunny. Or maybe it's about time I invest in some sunscreen. Meh, any recommendations?
